Black Potatoes: The Story of the Great Irish Famine, 1845-1850 by Susan Campbell Bartoletti

5.0

I have never read anything pertaining to the Irish potato famine before. This book was enlightening and written brilliantly. I loved it. I felt engrossed in the story. I had no idea how difficult this time period was for the Irish, and now because of Bartoletti I can understand a little more about how they were feeling at the time.
