I didn’t particularly like this book. I didn’t particularly like Grace and often times was mad at her for the choices she made.
At its core this book is about a mother’s love and her fierce protection of her teenage daughter at a time when said teenage daughter is trying to rebel against her parents.
I feel like this book was sold as lighthearted or funny… a mid-40s mom is starting peri-mesopause while fighting mom battles with her teenage daughter …. This book is not exactly that premise.
It is very dark and very sad at times and showcases how a mom will do anything for her child.
