The last two short stories saved this book for me. I was pretty bored for the first four. I’m not sure why we needed two prequel books of short stories for this series. It’s also a little frustrating that the books are not more clearly stated to be prequels or short stories, as I might have started with Blood of Elves and read more of the series first before coming back to the prequels had I known. I’m hopeful that the next book draws me in. Hoping that all the short stories become relevant and the point of them becomes clearer in the actual Witcher Saga.
