This is by far my favorite FMC, I have read this year. Dianna is fierce, strong and deadly! And I am in love with her! I wanna be her.
The plot is plotting! Honestly so much stuff happened, that I can’t even recount all the events in the book. It was giving quest, it was giving tomb raider, it was giving the best banter ever! I loved Dianna and her flawed personality and how she would kill any and all to protect what she loves. And Samkiel / Liam, is just precious. Amber did a phenomenal job in worrying a broken and traumatized MMC. The mental health rep is so real, for both characters.
I felt so seen in Dianna and I could understand every decision of both of them.
And the chemistry between them….aghhh I can’t. The banter was exquisite.
This was such a refreshing read. Finally a story with an FMC, that is not barely of age and had to go through some sort of trial. No - Dianna is a strong lead from the beginning of the book. So is Liam.
I just really enjoyed this story. And can’t wait to read more from Amber.
