Let's Not Be Friends by Phoebe MacLeod

2.0

I loved that Sophie wasn’t a push-over or spoiled, that Phoebe made her headstrong and independent buuut.. from that- I found myself frustrated that she meets a man.. who turns out to be loaded through something dad casually mentions earlier in the story.

Thing is, I wanted HER to get her own back on her idiot husband by her being the one to perhaps invest and earn herself a fortune…

But I understand it’s what introduced her to another character, I just sort of felt like I found myself disappointed that didn’t happen.

I could really picture all the characters, places and events, especially the bits with the mother-in-law!

It ended so abruptly, I was shocked and had to double check I hadn’t lost some pages somewhere. Is there a sequel- could we at least have had a peek at her future?

Fun book for sure worth a read if this type of light, comical romance is up your street!
