Wasn’t a fan of the heroine’s many, many rambling inner monologues that reinforced to herself why staying away from the hero was a good thing, even though she was repeatedly projecting other people’s actions and situations onto him. I know this happens often in these books, but it bothered me more in this one for some reason. I think it has to do with the fact that I had already found something lacking in the writing. Maybe that’s what I get for going from a Devney Perry book and jumping right into this one.
