My Dress-Up Darling, Vol. 3 by Shinichi Fukuda
5.0
While I'm not a huge fan of Juju-san and consider her a bit of spoiled brat, I did like her backstory and understand why she does what she does. Her little sister is adorable though, and her fangirling over her own sister was so fucking adorable I couldn't stand it!
But really, what cements this as a five star read was Marin and Gojo's interactions. The stay-at-home date was so damn cute and watching Marin squee over something as simple as watching a show with him and cooking lunch for them was too precious. She really is so precious and warm, she lights up the room/ scene whenever she's there. I also adore her passionate side and watching her fangirl speaks to me on a personal level. Gojo's willingness to watch/try new things is really cool and I love how invested he is in improving his craft. It's inspirational, despite being in an ecchi rom-com series but I will take it!
Also, I haven't brought it up until now, but I really appreciate how much research Fukuda has done to deliver cosplay related info. It's great seeing a mangaka really take the time to make sure they're giving an authentic experience to the reader and I commend them. On top of that, the exposition scenes are handled really well and don't kill the pacing. Yay!
Anyway, this is such a fun and adorable series that I'm more and more as I read. Looking forward to whatever shenanigans happen next!
