Believe In Me by Susan Lewis
3.0
So much potential, but ultimately a little bit of a let down.
I was so looking forward to this book, especially after the first chapter and then "meeting" characters that I really loved from the start. I was hooked. But it was SO slow, taking ages for the two stories to intertwine. I almost didn't finish it. And then to top it off, the ending felt rushed and thoughtless. Just trying to tie everything up in a pretty little bow.
I feel like it could have been a better read if the process of getting Marks released was drawn out in more detail and with proper research. It felt a bit far-fetched and unrealistic.
Also, I don't think it paints an accurate description of fostering. Perhaps more research required here. I find it unlikely that after all Daniel had been through, that he would immediately fit into the family as a well adjusted kid.
