Triple Threat by K Webster
3.0
I thought this book was ok and that is only because I still believe the premise had potential but the execution left some to be desired.
The ideology of triplets pretending to be the same guy to get a girl to fall for them is dynamite. Yes, I read a lot of reverse harems but the fact that these guys are actually brothers kind of intrigued me in a sick sort of way as I wanted to see what their relationship dynamic would be like.
On to our damsel in distress, Landry was such a disappointment in so many integral ways. Yes she has a reason for staying bound to her dad for the sake of her sister, but there seems to be a thread of abuse not only mentally but sexually-that isn't really grasped on. Her character itself was a contradiction as she openly engages in flirtations with guys despite having the good girl aura of her (slightly confusing). How she deals with the guys is also hard to grasp as she tries to command them but again it falls slightly flat.
The triplets are an even bigger disappointment than her as their characters were all over the place. We have the psycho, the peacemaker, and the troublemaker (I think as they are still a bit blurry in terms of categorization). The fact that the guys kinda blurred into one didn't bode well for the emotional connections between them nor their interactions with Landry.
I think the story needs some tightening of the characters as the plot is golden.
