Infinite in Between by Carolyn Mackler

3.0

I discovered Carolyn Mackler in high school and I always get excited for her new books. This one focuses on 5 teens who are in the same freshman orientation group at high school. Throughout the next four years they suffer losses, fall in love, and make decisions about their future, some related to each other and some not.

It was really fun to read, but Mackler moved so quickly between characters and often cuts the reader off right when something exciting happens. You find out later what happens from another character's perspective, but it's pretty anticlimactic. That made it feel more like outlines of stories rather than the stories themselves. But I genuinely liked all 5 main characters, and enjoyed reading about their lives. Would recommend.
