It was interesting to find out what really happened between Liam/Hunter and Em during the last book's kidnapping. It was also interesting to see how Emmy and Hunter could possibly make a relationship work between the princess of the Reapers and the kidnapper from the Devil's Jacks.
Wylie said this book is more of a New Adult book and has a different tone than the rest of the series, but don't let that scare you off. It's a game changer for the series, fills in some of the blanks, and sets up the next book (and the 6th?).
