Red Rope of Fate by K.M. Shea

medium-paced

5.0

Red Rope of Fate was very fun to read and unlike anything I had read before. The characters are engaging and it is fun learning more about their personalities, motivations, and secrets. The story explores a lot of different kind of relationships and how they develop as a human and an elf get a unique mental bond. This bond thrusts them to the center of the relationship between the humans of Calnor and the Elves of Lessa. There is a good mix of adventure, non-gory fight scenes, clean romance, mystery, friendships, politics, creative magic/abilities, and humor. It is the first book in a series and will probably make the most sense if read first even though the others are technically stand-alone. Readers who like the books of Melanie Cellier, Tara Grayce, and K.M. Shea's other books would likely really enjoy this book as well.
