A rushed ending to a series that had a strong start but quickly lost its way. We get payoffs to mysteries that were introduced in book 1, but none of the twists feel satisfying or earned. It reads like the author didn't know how to wrap things up and just ticked off all the boxes for a cookie-cutter fantasy ending.
