This was one of those books I’d put in the same category as Forever by Judy Blume. DARIA gives us a peek into the relationship-coming-of-age of Dominique and Wes. It tackles sex and the complete cycle most relationships go through with all their annoying facets. It wasn’t WOW, romantic or swoony, but it was real, raw, awkward and clumsy just like most teenage firsts.

It shows us exactly why we need first loves. To get all the experiences, break up and to discover it is all ok. I think ANATOMY OF A BOYFRIEND would provide a comforting lens for teenagers from the outside in. I’m looking forward to the ANATOMY OF A SINGLE GIRL.
