now this book was so entertaining. it kept me on the edge of my seat or it had me giggling and kicking my feet.

but other times it had me pissed off to no end all thanks to hauth mf rowan and royce mf linden. oh my GOD were they the worst characters, every time they popped up in the book i had take a deep breath before proceeding and fight the urge to throw my kindle across the room. my mood turned sour expeditiously whenever i read their names. but that’s all to give praise to the author for being able to write such a terrible character and to make me feel so many emotions while reading this book.

in the last book i loved elm bc he was hilarious and i knew he was going to be one of my favorite characters but this book made me completely fall in love with him like??? i may love him more than ravyn? elm is literally so perfect. he is a complex character and i loved that. my opinions on ione did a full 180 in this book. i was so frustrated and annoyed with her last book but i still kept an open mind because i knew there was more to her character and it was shown in this book and i ended up loving her as well.

ravyn my man, perfect as always, he was so in love with elspeth and bc of that the angst was immaculate. elspeth and nightmare’s relationship is so complicated but i loved it. also nightmare was funny asl in this. we didnt see elspeth as much in this as the last book but she was still a great character.

i liked the multiple povs in this. it made sense to do it for this book and i think it was nicely done. a lot of the plot twists in this book were things i had guessed from the first book and wouldn’t consider them plot twists much
like ravyn being a descendant of the shepherd king was so obvious to me
but overall loved this series.
