The biggest problem I have here is
Spoiler why would parents commit to raising a child for up to 17 years just to have them unwound? Seems like a big waste of time and resources to me.
, but the world is so richly detailed and the characters are so well written and diverse that I don’t care. This book absolutely dunks on The Hunger Games and wipes the floor with Divergent. Hot damn, this should’ve been the most successful mid-2010s YA dystopia and it’s absolutely shocking how those got mega-popular and this didn’t.
