I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak

3.0

3.5
I was very very conflicted about the rating, because it was enjoyable. I liked it but i had problems with it.
And it wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away tho.
Even that the ending is a shocker i have to tell you that, you will not freaking not expect the ending!, or maybe it's the twist!

The problems i had with it
Is definitely that it fell out on me on part 2 but it picked up again by the middle of part 3

The intro is perfectly done and brilliant and so so so funny. I expected the whole book would be as funny but it didn't. It became too serious after 60 pages in and i was ok with that but i missed the brilliant comedy zusack has and i wished it lasted through the whole book

I didn't get the ending even though i didn't expected it. I swear i didn't and it felt so random to me somehow

I loved the messages, the people, and the missions he had but i didn't get all of them much
And i didn't get why them? And i hated the whole mission about the raping husband even the truth about it in the end disgusted me and i was what the freaking hell!

I can't get my mind on the whole problems i had with it, but it was an ok book better than many many books we read these days and delivers us a unique message too

Some friend here on GR said that markus zusack is like ed Kennedy in a way, deliver us messages in his books. And i so so think that is totally right!
I love that about him.
