The Black Panther Party: A Graphic Novel History by David F. Walker

4.0

A fascinating retelling of the Black Panther Party in graphic novel form. I’m interested in why the author chose this medium. It is, admittedly, very wordy for a graphic novel but well done. The artwork is great. Some of the illustrations are near perfect renditions of photographs (for example, the photograph of Emmett Till’s mother at his casket).
