Once Upon a Marquess by Courtney Milan

4.0

Judith loved Christian Trent. Except, Christian Trent was part of the trial accusing her father and older brother of treason. After the trial, Judith is forced to make her way in the world with nothing more than her two younger siblings, her meagre savings from selling their possessions, and what she can make selling clockwork.

When Judith needs someone with clout to intercede on her families behalf, almost a decade later, she turns to Christian. Of course, things aren't what they appear and they rekindle their relationship.

I think the Brothers Sinister is a stronger series, but we'll see how this one progresses with the subsequent novels.
