Red Planet by Robert A. Heinlein
5.0
My current favorite of Heinlein's "juveniles" books, a pretty wonderful mix of boys adventure story and weird science fiction antics on a very old school vision of mars that feels both of the time it was written and timeless!
Robert A. Heinlein is an author who even if I don't agree with everything he puts down in his books/worldview (see starship troopers) he at least does so in a very interesting and somewhat hard to pin down way that I find oddly compelling if that makes any sense!
That being said his series of early juvenile sci-fi books are very fun and easy reads that work very well for me so far!
