beautiful, haunting imagery. i found myself frequently revisiting each line and would find a gem that i had missed the first time i had read it.

favorites include:

this plot, now a hotel garden.
it’s fountain gushing forth-
the slashed wrists of the Colorado

will their torched names
       walk again as lake water?
will they charge a fee
       to reshaped the horns
            of our dull speech?

when it’s your face
          that ripple silver,
not the mule deer skipping across
           the creek’s forgetting.
