Wired for Story: The Writer's Guide to Using Brain Science to Hook Readers from the Very First Sentence by Lisa Cron

4.0

*Assigned for a course reading*

Despite having to shove the contents of this book into my brain over the course of a day, I quite enjoyed it. I now feel that I understand the structure of a story better and feel that Cron has shown me some dark secrets only the best of the best know. Her book was incredibly enlightening and should be in the arsenal of every aspiring writer. I feel more confident in my writing and instead of the creeping doubt that many writers feel, I'm sure that I can create both believable characters and a captivating plotline after finishing this book.
