I was aggravated through half of this book. The main character, Sookie was okay, but everyone else was insufferable with their stupidity and problematic behavior. I hated every side character!
The love interest, Bill is okay but can be misogynistic, racist, and "old fashioned" because he's an old vampire. I liked how Sookie wasn't afraid to call him out in his crap.
I absolutely hated Sookies boss, Sam by the end of the book! He was the absolute worse, and his character was negatively developed in my opinion.
The only reason I finished this book is because I enjoy murder mystery books, and vampire books. The murderer mystery part was not bad. I didn't guess the murderer, and it made sense once they were revealed.
