The Duke in My Bed by Amelia Grey

5.0

Oh how I've missed the Historical Romance genre, I've been reading nothing but YA & NA lately. Don't get me wrong I love those genres too but it was so refreshing to get back to an old favourite.

Firstly, I just wanted to comment about that cover, that cover is just stunning!! Gets major cover love from me. ^_^

This is my first book by Amelia Grey and it's definitely intrigued me to read more of her work.

Known scoundrel Bray, the Duke of Drakestone isn't one to sit back and be told what to do. So on one tragic night when a carriage race went terribly wrong, he was forced into a promise he didn't want to fulfill. Bray must marry the eldest sister of his challenger. Due to witnesses Bray delays for as long as he can until Miss Prim ventures to London for her sisters first season. Once Bray set eyes on Louisa, he thought the marriage thing wouldn't be such a bad idea but when his proposal is rejected, he makes it clear to Louisa that it'll be her proposing to him in the near future.

Louisa wants nothing to do with the Duke of Drakestone, she thinks he's nothing but a drake and will not appreciate her the way a husband should. Louisa is headstrong and enjoys looking after her younger sisters, after losing her brother she's had to take charge. Meeting the Duke sparks something in her that she's never felt before, but how can someone make you so infuriated yet so intoxicated by feelings at the same time?

This story was beautifully written, with fun vibrant characters. I was mesmerised from start to finish.

I highly recommend to all Historical Romance lovers, so go grab yourself a copy of this book, get comfy in your reading spot and enjoy! Be swept away with the writing style of Amelia Grey. ^_^
