I can't say enough good things about Jewel E Ann's books! She writes wonderfully angsty romances that take many twists and turns in the characters' lives that ultimately end up in a happy ever after that isn't anything like a fairy tale.
My favorite thing about this duet is the secrecy revolving around Roe. We know that something is up with him and it involves an accident from his past, but it wasn't anything I could have imagined.
Roe and Evie's relationship and that of Evie's two best friends - Graham and Lila, are interwoven in such a masterful way, constantly keeping you guessing in the best of ways! I love this series, and the mysteries surrounding Roe, and honestly can't say enough good things about it!
