Avengers vs. X-Men by Brian Michael Bendis
3.0
Big event books have a way of starting big, ending flat, and having an unnecessary death or two. Sadly, this went almost exactly as predicted. While the conflict was supposed to be epic, it never felt that way. After Scott and Logan just coming to blows for a difference of opinion that changed the X-Men dramatically, this was too reminiscent of that. Added to that is the catch-all power set of the Phoenix Force and the randomness that defeated it, I was left underwhelmed. I thought the art was fantastic but so many artists doesn't lead to uniformity in a single book. Overall, the book wasn't bad but could have been so much better.
