Despite it being gripping, it’s only due to putting random things for shock factor. It felt like a very average thriller, with the way it was going it could’ve explored post-partum psychosis, something dangerous to mothers, their children and families alike but missed the mark and threw that potential theme out of the window. This could’ve been something groundbreaking, as post-partum psychosis is not nearly spoken about enough. So much so, that people don’t even know what it is or assume it is the same as post-partum depression.

Either way, this was a fast read. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it either. It’s a solid 2.5 stars I just wish it went in a different direction and had less predictable plot twists.
