The Blue, Beautiful World by Karen Lord

3.0

So, I like this book, but I have no idea what's going on. I probably should have read The Best of All Possible Worlds first because that's apparently the first book in the series, but whoever marketed or pitched this book should make it more apparent on its cover that it's a part of the series and not a standalone. There are so many characters, places, organizations, and themes that I want to sink my teeth into and enjoy, but I don't feel anchored at all even with the glossary. I might come back to it again, but I might not. Either way, it's interesting to see what Karen Lord writes in terms of original material.
