This is a fun adventure story with very light-weight characters that takes a turn in the final pages. I think it needed to be a lot longer to counterbalance what feels like an ablest ending. That the author wrote this for his autistic daughter is pretty clear. Even with the ending, this story is filled with love and hope for the protagonist to achieve what she wants to achieve. I feel like, had it been longer, more exploration could have been given to Adora's internal self and made the reveal a little more palatable.
