Synopsis:
Following a number of incidents and attacks on Native American land, Navajo I-Team journalist Kat James teams up with park ranger Gabe Rossiter to investigate the causes. As the case heats up and Kat and Gabe's passion for each other intensifies, they both become targets for an enemy who will stop at nothing to prevent them from getting to the truth.

Review:
Another hit from Pamela Clare.

The suspense plot is clever but could have been better developed in terms of clues and evidence. Nevertheless, the story is engaging and the information about the Native American culture and rituals is very well researched and contributes to the overall atmosphere of the book.

Clare is skilled at writing realistic characters from all walks of life, and Kat and Gabe are an exceptional example. Kat is intelligent and knows what she wants while Gabe is tortured and must come to terms with events from his past if he is to move forward with his life. When the two come together, the result is nothing short of explosive.

The secondary characters are interesting and the cameo appearances by characters from previous books is wonderful, especially the rapport between Marc and Julian, which left me with a smile on my face. As in the previous books, the epilogue is also very enjoyable and provides a strong sense of closure.

Clare's book are action packed and exciting. I recommend reading the series in order although they can be read as stand alones as well because each book focuses on a separate couple and crime. Looking forward to Breaking Point next.
