“I never needed to be perfect. Being understood is so much better.”

Lindsey Lanza does not miss! I have been very lucky to get early copes of A Little Magic and now Not Safe for Work. I have loved all of Lindsey’s work so far, and NSFW is not exception.

Not Safe For Work is a workplace fake dating romance where he falls first, has great mental health representation, and jewish representation! It also has a hedgehog!

This book truly hit deeper for me. Had you ever had a dedication make you tear up? I am not a corporate girl, but as someone who works in a male dominated field, I really related to Olivia’s struggle as a woman in the workplace. It’s not uncommon where I am the only woman on a worksite. I’ve gotten used to it, but it can really suck. This book made me feel so seen and understood.

NSFW had me hooked immediately in the prologue, and it was also the fastest I have ever started hating someone in a book! Ian is trash!! You’ll have to read to find out why. In terms of the other characters, Olivia and Gavin are so amazing. They’re adorable and their growth in this book is amazing. We watch Olivia bloom and realize her worth and come out swinging at the end like the badass she is. Gavin is DOWN BAD for Olivia and we watch him learn to not take everything on his shoulders at once. Gavin’s hedgehogs puns are off the charts.

“How the hell do you define a fake relationship between two people who are sleeping together and also might have feelings? I’ll have to google it later when I’m not at work.”

This book is also FUNNY! I was giggling and laughing out here while I read this one. The slack direct messages and emails were a wonderful addition to this book.

ALSO! The Lindsey Lanza multiverse is alive and well! I loved the Speechless cameos so much!

The banter, the spice, the chemistry, the cuteness...Not Safe for Work has it all. Highly recommend picking up one of Lindsey’s books. Thank you again for letting me read your work early.
