Deer Creek Drive: A Reckoning of Memory and Murder in the Mississippi Delta by Beverly Lowry

3.0

An interesting approach to exploring a murder, the social conditions and expectations within which it took place, and memories of the past. Unfortunately, much of it felt rather stuck on the surface rather than really delving into meanings and analysis. I liked it and am glad I finished it, but it felt… unfinished, like the good ideas never fully solidified.
