I don't feel comfortable giving this book stars, but I loved this book. What a beautifully brutal and evocative memoir. I love how much that stubborn drive to find some sort of happiness and to survive shines through all the vignettes. The audiobook really felt like sitting down with someone and listening to their story, rambling and tangents and all. Highly recommend for all Canadians.
