The Faithful Spy by Alex Berenson

3.0

Almost criminally heavy on the cliche and exposition. The author creates the blandest hero imaginable.

SNAP POLL: NAME ONE CHARACTERISTIC OF JOHN WELLS

What? You can't? Well, QED.

Despite feeling like a novelisation of Homeland at times this book manages to be an diverting and entertaining read. The book is right to be alarmed about the inefficient and politicised counter terrorism however the book fails to offer a solution other than hoping a plucky soy saves the day.
