I fell in love with the first book in this series and was so excited for this sequel. Unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. I think I just was really against the miscommunication Hades and Persephone were having throughout 90% of this book. Aside from that the individual things they went through was so unique and I loved seeing both characters trying to deal with their emotions.
Both gods felt almost human as they dealt with their struggles and their grief and just not knowing how to put themselves together after dealing with such an ordeal.
These authors also kill the cliff hanger game. I’m back on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in the series.
