Not too long ago, I watched the Goosebumps movie. It got me thinking about reading a Goosebumps book. This is the first one I read. This main character is Spencer. He is a middle school student. He has a mishap in a local cemetery that causes a ghoul (an undead creature that some of the people that were buried in the cemetery change into). The ghoul wants to take over Spencer's body. Spencer, later with the help of a friend, has to try to prevent the ghouls from hurting his family members and friends. And stop the ghouls from creating havoc in his town. I thought this book was quite thrilling. It had a good amount of tension. This only problem I had with the book was the ending. I cannot say why without giving a spoiler. The book was still worth reading.
