Got this from the library without realising it was volume three - then read it thinking it was a standalone story, but it’s not! Still enjoyed it. Simple occult mystery, without much in the way of detective work save following a hunch and beating up (supernatural) goons. Clearly a bit Indiana Jones influence in this story, too. The tone and mood really sell it, as does Mignola’s art and the usual Mignola/Golden mashup of cosmic horror and folklore. Gonna enjoy reading this again when I track down the first two volumes.
