Arsene Lupin Vs. Herlock Sholmes by Maurice Leblanc

2.0

Arsène Lupin impresses the eye, but not the mind. Sherlock Holmes does exactly the opposite, so mr. Leblanc had to go to great extents to dumb down the latter in favour of letting the former shine more brightly. All in all, the story feels very arrogant, and not a tiny bit like the good-natured parody it claims to be.
