I really and truly think that anyone who’s watching a family member or friend struggle with addiction should read this book. I wish I’d known about it when my brother was still alive. I’ve never before read anything that SO enabled me to understand what it’s like to crave that next drink. To NEED that next drink. To not be able to wait until noon for that next drink. And to eventually not be able to get out of bed without first having a drink.

Lisa Smith is a remarkable woman with an incredible story of accomplishment and determination. I have such respect for her. ❤️
