A Midwinter Sacrifice: A Short Story by J.F. Penn
fast-paced
3.5
This was a really beautifully written spooky short story about a busker who gets robbed at a Christmas market in Bath, and the woman who helps him isn't all that she seems.
I listened to this on my lunch break and I loved that the author also narrated it! The story is so atmospheric and eerie that it sucks you in straight away, and it keeps you guessing how it's going to end.
I recommend checking out A Midwinter Sacrifice if you're looking for a short festive read that's both pretty and chilling.
