Escape from the Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz

3.0

I loved it.

Also was Mal being the daughter of Hades mentioned before because finding out here somehow blew my mind.
I need more Hades lol.
And what happens to Uma! She deserves better to be honest.

But I'm really bothered that Mal didn't have any career prospect. I mean she's not yet married to Ben and is certainly not a royal. Why didn't she decide to explore her options first, have a feel of life, trying out different careers before shackling herself already to royal life? I don't get it. It wouldn't have taken anything from the story and would have sent a beautiful message about finding oneself since she hasn't really had the opportunity.

Update: I'm taking one star off. The issue with Mal can't keep out of my head. Also tbh, this was too rushed and had little depth for my liking. The first three books were far better. But I enjoyed it anyway.
