A dark conclusion to the trilogy… very “how to get away with murder”-esque. I think this one is my favourite of the three, definitely it was darker, more mature than the other two. We got to see a different side of the main character, Pip, that I wasn’t expecting. I also loved that there were tons of callbacks to the first two books, and we got to see strings tied up from the first book that I hadn’t even remember were undone. It’s giving reverse Nancy Drew, in a way. Overall, I enjoyed the trilogy - not a must read, and I think I would have enjoyed it more when I was in early high school and more of the target demo, but I got through all 3 of them pretty quickly so clearly I still enjoyed it!
