Last Bus to Woodstock by Colin Dexter

2.0

A year or so ago I stumbled upon The Way Through the Woods. I had enjoyed it well enough. Having recently moved to Europe, I thought I would be able to connect more with the British narrative, and to be honest, I was missing some good ol' murder.

As most other readers have mentioned in the reviews, the perspective towards women came as a shock to me. However, the plot of the mystery itself was really interesting and kept toying with me. I would like to say I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book (in one day), but for the denouement. It just did not make sense to me at all. There were too many loose ends left, about the murderer and regarding certain events that occurred during the investigation. Hence my rating.
