*slaps book cover* this bad boy can fit so much Tolkien in it.

It has everything I liked about the first book in the trilogy and somewhat improves upon the things I disliked.
The charerization is a lot stronger and they have actual arcs. There's also women with plot relevance. The action sequences are still solid, even if some of them feel unnecessary. Overall, a fun read.
