As messed up as it may be, kidnapping/cults is one of my favorite thriller tropes, so I was STOKED when this was a BOTM choice. Unfortunately, it really disappointed me.Β

😱The character descriptions and development was beautiful.
😱There was a good twist at the end that I did not see coming.
😱I really liked the relationship between Lex and Evie.
😱I appreciated how we got glimpses of the past and the present.
😱The mom FASCINATED me.

😱I wanted a better picture of the house and the struggles these people endured. I felt like it was super surface level and didn't live up to the true "House of Horrors" name.
😱I needed more about what happened with Ethan and Noah. Ethan freaked me out.
😱I wanted more about their lives after escaping.
😱The jumping of timelines was confusing at times.
😱Overall, I just wanted more.
