Don't Call Me Hero by Eliza Lentzski
4.0
This is my first book by the author, and I’m impressed. There are different types of PTSD, and I appreciate that the author did not over-dramatize it in the story. Cassidy is a hard person not to like. I empathize with her tendency to run when put in sensitive situations. Besides the aloofness of her father, Cassidy has people who understand and support her including ice queen Julia. Speaking of Julia “Pillow Princess” Desjardin, she is a complex character and a mystery to me. By the end of the book, I had more questions than answer about her character. Overall, great story and I hope the other books in the series are just as entertaining.
