Overall I loved this book. There was a couple of hiccups, but nothing that made me question continuing. It was a very dark novel, don't look for a well rounded story casting light on all sides of the human existence. It is a horror novel thru and thru. But...if you enjoy history, the supernatural, religious elements, and descriptive cultural elements and characters (I'm not Latino) you will like this book.
