Batman: Ego and Other Tails by Darwyn Cooke

3.0

Cooke was a hell of an artist and I have to give it up for his love of noir. But “Ego” is the showstopper in this collection even if it doesn’t quite stick the landing. But I like that the collection is bookended by two stories where Batman wrestles with what it means to keep being Batman. However, I was left a little cold by “Selina’s Big Score” which felt more like a Sin City riff than a good Catwoman story.
