I am on a journey to discover palatable Christian fiction. This was not it.
I will say that I gave it two stars instead of one because I was actually able to read it to the end.
I just want there to be Christian fiction with substance. I get bored of poorly developed characters but even more than that, I get very triggered by CF’s emphasis on guilt and the consequences of sin. This novel wasn’t as bad as others I’ve read, but that doesn’t make it exempt from critique.
