While it took me a while to get into this, once I did get back into it yesterday (was on pg. 70); boy did it pick up. I really enjoyed it once I got more used to the writing style. At first, because you don’t know much, I was confused as to how it was organized and what I was reading but as it picked up it made more and more sense. I was really able to enjoy the story once I got more into the characters and plot. There were a few plot twists which was exciting, especially the first one being really unexpected. I enjoyed the continuous suspense and development of the characters throughout the story. I don’t want to say more to keep it spoiler free, but I would definitely recommend if you want a suspenseful, eerie read without it being horror.
Graphic: Death of parent, Car accident, and Death
Moderate: Gaslighting, Infidelity, and Infertility
